Guys, it’s official. I want to move to Melbourne! I had a FABULOUS time in Geelong last month taking photos for the amazing and insanely fun Saravanan family and their friends. You know those people that you just can’t help but fall in love with because they’re just so freakin’ amazing? That’s them. I’ve never felt more welcomed and appreciated as I did when I entered through their doors.
Plus they provided lunch (BEST spread I’ve ever had!)

Safe to say taking these photos and meeting Linda, Sara, Sheri, Damo and their beautiful children was an experience I’ll never forget. Thank you for being such wonderful people! For flying me over to you and making that investment in me to document your families at this moment. I’m so happy that I could capture all of you together before Sheri and Damo move to Tasmania #goodmemories

#sorrynotsorry for all the photos! There’s so many I like!! You don’t know how extremely happy it makes me being able to gift people with images. I always say that they’re not just photos of your family, or your kids or you. It’s art. You are art.

Whatever happens in the coming year for Amber Paige Photography, whether that’s letting it go or forging ahead, I’ll always be SUPER thankful for the amazing people I’ve met over the last year, and previous years. Thank you everybody!

Sometimes things happen that you totally don’t expect.

 

They can be good or bad of course.

This is a good ‘thing’ I’m sharing with you today 🙂

If you’ve been following my blog, Facebook or you know me personally, you probably know that I’ve been in struggletown for a while in regards to the future/present of my business (read about that here). So when some good friends of my parents contacted me to do some family photos I was pretty happy – and surprised! Because they just happen to live in Melbourne!

You want me to come to Melbourne to photograph your family? Yes please!

It never really crossed my mind that there are wonderful people out there who want to make that investment with me and my photography. Who are willing to fly you over to them and are just so lovely.
Sure, I’ve seen other photographers get to travel for their craft but I just never figured that it would happen to moi!
For me its a huge compliment and such a confidence booster. Ya’ll rock, I love it! And I know its not far, only a short plane ride but I’m happy to have this opportunity to be an ‘accidental travel photographer’.

Despite this years……blah……it’s actually amazing to look back and see just how many awesome things I’ve had the opportunity to do. This ones going on the list for sure!

The photo shoot date in Melbourne is coming up quick and I’m really excited! I can’t wait to show you some photos already (I hear the kids in the family are super cute 😀  ) And to make this trip even better, my sister-friend is coming with! She recently moved away so having her back will be awesome 😀

As you may know I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Gold Coast last month with my aunty & uncle. It was a fab trip (I even learnt some lessons!) and one of the highlights was being able to photograph the gorgeous Alex on the equally gorgeous beaches of the Gold Coast. We were in some cool rockpools as the sun was setting, it was warm. The mermaid princess theme worked to perfection. Everything came together and it was just MAGICAL! I’ve officially fallen in love with Gold Coast people!! If I ever had the opportunity to move there and be a photographer I’m 99.9% sure I’d take that. Especially if I got to photograph these beautiful ice cream colour sunsets all the time!

 

On another note I’m such a photo hoarder. I apologise 😛  There are so many images I want to share with y’all I just have to get around to the sharing part! Soon friends……

These are just the sweetest sisters! And so good for braving the cold weather – the images we captured are adorable and were so worth tromping around in the undesirable temperatures for.

** Note: its kind of hard to make balloons behave the way you want when its windy! You have been warned! (But they do look fantastic. Balloons = awesome 😀 **
